Credits and billing

Each hosted API has its own balance: one for Embeddings, one for Tool Picker. Spending one never drains the other.

Manage both under Organization > Billing > API credits on cloud.ratel.sh. Balances belong to the organization and are shared by all its projects.

How a call is paid

1. Your plan's monthly allowance is spent first.
2. Then prepaid credit, which you buy and which never expires.
3. When both are empty, the API answers 402 until you top up.

Tool Picker's Instant mode is free and never touches a balance.

Monthly allowance

• It resets at the start of each billing period. On Free, it renews every 30 days from first use.
• Unused allowance does not carry over.
• Upgrading mid-period grants the higher allowance at once. Cancelling returns it to Free's.

Prepaid credit

• Buy packs of €10, €25, €50 or €100, or any multiple of €100.
• Each top-up is for one API. Pick which card you buy from.
• Credit never expires and survives plan changes.

Auto-recharge

Turn it on per API so a balance never runs dry.

• Set a threshold and an amount: when credit falls below the threshold, Cloud charges your saved card for the amount.
• Save a card once. Both balances use it.
• Each balance recharges at most once per hour.

Usage

• Per-project usage is on Models > Embeddings and Models > Tool Picker.
• Each balance's top-ups and recharges are listed on its Billing card.
